Delavan Lake Improvement Association (DLIA)
DLIA was founded in 1895 and organized with this purpose: to help protect and preserve the lake and all land around it; to represent those who own its property, and to provide a wholesome and relaxing environment for our friends and visitors.

Since then, the DLIA has maintained the primary focus of a ‘watchdog’ role, seeking to identify potential and existing issues that affect water quality and the long-term health of the lake while working with the Wisconsin DNR, the U.S. Geological Survey, governing bodies at the State, County & Local levels, and other local & regional Lake Associations & Conservancies to help ensure timely attention to the condition and the needs of Delavan Lake. Membership Information -To keep current with other DLIA happens, see their web site at www.delavan-lake.org

Delavan Lake Watershed Initiative Network (WIN)
The WIN organizational group is managed by the Kettle Moraine Land Trust (KMLT) and meets periodically throughout the year with a steering Committee meeting monthly, and two workgroups meeting every other month. Each year it is expected that an annual work plan reflecting long term and short term goals will be created. Those plans will include programs and projects that will enhance the watershed functions, including water supply, water quality, drainage, storm water runoff, erosion, and water rights. As residents of the area we can support the WIN effort by limiting the use of fertilizers on lawns, by limiting the amount of ground water usage (such as used in washing cars), and by picking up and properly disposing of pet waste.
Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) is dedicated to the preservation, protection, effective management, and maintenance of Wisconsin's natural resources (landscapes, fishing, forestry, lakes, water, wetlands, and wildlife). It is responsible for implementing the laws of the state and, where applicable, the laws of the federal government that protect and enhance the natural resources of our state. It is the one agency charged with full responsibility for coordinating the many disciplines and programs necessary to provide a clean environment and a full range of outdoor recreational opportunities for Wisconsin citizens and visitors.
